THE WOMAN

 The article is written as a tribute to my beloved sister-in-law, whose husband (my brother) passed away and whose life is an inspiration for me personally to be strong, faithful, and committed.

Growing up in a culture where women were seen as inferior and weaker, I was taught to accept this as truth. “God made Adam first and then created Eve only to help him,” the society said. But does this truly reflect God's intention in forming a woman from Adam’s rib? The Bible makes it clear in Genesis 2:20 (NKJV) that no suitable helper was found for Adam. Though God created animals, birds, and all of nature, none were comparable to man. A beautiful Jewish tradition explains that 'God did not make a woman from man’s foot to be beneath him, nor from his head to be above him, but from his rib—close to his heart so he might love her, and under his arm so he might protect her. The woman was not created to be inferior or merely to serve man, but to walk alongside him, so they could support, love, and cherish each other.'

It is important to recognize the unique abilities women possess. While man reflects God’s sovereignty and power, woman reflects His love, beauty, and grace. A man may have physical and emotional strength, but a woman embodies moral and spiritual strength. When a man is weary, a woman uplifts him. When he loses hope, she restores it. When he feels worthless, she reminds him of his worth. When he feels alone, her presence brings comfort. When he strays from worship, she calls him back to the beauty of God’s presence. When he is ready to give up, she stands unwavering beside him. There is strength in a woman’s heart, beauty in her soul, and wisdom in her words. God has given women the ability to help men understand His will and His nature.

No matter how much men claim superiority, a man is not complete without a woman. Alone, he cannot build a family, stand firm in society, or even find lasting joy. He may own a house, but it is the woman who turns it into a home. Behind every great achievement, there is often a woman. William Golding once said, “Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater. If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby. If you give her a house, she'll give you a home. If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal. If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her.”

I remember a time when I felt lost, deceived, and hopeless—until a woman, with a gentle presence and a radiant spirit, reminded me of God’s love and the hope still present in life. Women reflect God’s gentleness, kindness, and compassion. It is hard to imagine life without them. I pray that every woman recognizes her worth and embraces the image of God’s love and hope.

Many women care for their children alone, showing unwavering commitment and strength. Their loyalty is a testament to the resilience God has placed within them. No matter what society says, women possess extraordinary strength and reflect God's love and kindness. Let every girl know that she is not inferior but a source of strength, hope, and love. Women can transform lives—to lift a man from failure to success, from despair to purpose. In many ways, their influence surpasses that of men.

God has adorned women with beautiful and remarkable gifts, created in His image. May every woman live in a way that honors God, continuing to inspire and influence lives. May the radiance of God’s love shine through them always.
